Photos of the Mineralava dolls (Rudolph Valentino and his wife, Natacha Rambova). They were created by the sculptor Helene Sardeau specifically for the Valentinos' Mineralava Tour in 1923.

Rudolph Valentino

Rudolph Valentino, (May 6, 1895 – August 23, 1926),  The Son of the Sheik was an Italian actor, known simply as "Valentino" and also an early pop icon. A sex symbol of the 1920s.  Valentino was known as the "Latin Lover".  Born to a French mother and Italian father Rudolph Valentino grew up in Italy.  "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" was a major success, launching Valentino into super stardom and giving him the image of a 'Latin Lover'.
