4 CV Labourdette Vutotal of the Salon de Paris 1950. |
The 1920s - 1940s are most interesting to me. There was the Roaring Twenties, Black Thursday, the Depression, Volstead Act, Women's History; the list goes on and on. I also find the Gregorian, Victorian, Edwardian era interesting as well. I hope you enjoy your visit!

Dean Stockwell
![]() |
Dean Stockwell (born March 5, 1936) is an American actor of film and television, with a career spanning over 65 years. Photogenic American child actor of the 1940s, popular due in no small measure to his air of innocence and his beautiful, cherubic face with its dimples and his sparkling eyes, topped with a crown of curls. Still an actor in demand. | Cropped screenshot of Dean Stockwell from the trailer for the film Stars in My Crown. c. 1950, |

Anti-Lynch campaign, vintage postcard
In 1937 and again in 1940, yet two more anti-lynching bills passed through the House of Representatives, but were defeated in
the Senate. Although the NAACP had failed to get a federal law
passed, lynching had almost disappeared by 1950. - vintage
