Mary Pickford

Mary Pickford (April 8, 1892 - May 29, 1979) was a Canadian American motion picture actress, co-founder of the film studio United Artists and one of the original 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.  Mary Pickford delighted the hearts of millions of filmgoers from 1909 to 1933. With her beautiful blonde curls, her sweet face, and her childlike air of innocence on screen, she was the most beloved and famous female movie star of the silent era.
