Eduardo Mondlane

Eduardo Chivambo Mondlane (June 20, 1920 - February 3, 1969) was the child of a Tsonga chief, the fourth of sixteen sons, and the only one of his family to receive even a primary education.  Eduardo Mondlane served as President of the Mozambican Liberation Front from 1962, the year that FRELIMO was founded in Tanzania, until his assassination in 1969.
